final artwork

this is my final artwork for this assignment 1 .
my tittle is about love.i use my own picture with my love.and i create the picture too look like a comic image.i use a black and white colour to show that our memory will always be in our friendship.

Chosen poem

this is my chosen topic of poem which writing by angle baby(Ashley).is about we love someone to much and we cant live without him/her.this poem related with me.

I never really knew you
You were just another friend
But when I got to know you,
I let my heart unbend.
I couldn't help past memories
that would only make me cry
I had to forget my first love
and give love another try
So I've fallen in love with you
and I'll never let you go
I love you more than anyone
I just had to let you know
And if you ever wonder why
I don't know what I'll say
But I'll never stop loving you
each and every day
My feelings for you will never change
Just know my feelings are true
Just remember one thing
I Love You!

Research documentation symbolism in Poem

A symbol works two ways: It is something itself, and it also suggests something deeper. It is crucial to distinguish a symbol from a metaphor:

symbolism for poetry is actually quite simple, it is what represents the poem, the topic. for example  feeling, angry sad or in love.

Research documentation : what is metaphor in poem

from my studies i can say that A metaphor poem is the use of objects and actions that are not directly related to the message you want to convey. The use of a set of objects and actions specifically designed to evoke intellectual themes.

example of metaphor

Some metaphors are so common that we may not even notice that they are metaphors. Take the familiar metaphor of life as a journey, for example. We find it in advertising slogans:
  • "Life is a journey, travel it well."
    (United Airlines)
  • "Life is a journey. Enjoy the Ride."
    (Nissan)
  • "Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride with a GM reward card."
    (General Motors)

example of love metaphor poem

Love is a burning candle
It's not always easy to handle
It burns, but it's still beautiful
And it makes celebrations oh so meaningful

It's a sunset
Burning with romance
A song...
That makes you want to dance...

Research documentation : How should we understand poem

here is some tips to understand when reading the poem

1. Who is the speaker? ( most assume it is the poet, but that is something you should not assume. )

2. Is it possible to determine the speakers age or sex? (This might help determine the person’s frame of mind in the poem.

3. What is the setting of the story? ( This is usually easy to tell and can help achieve more then one might think when trying to determine the full picture)

4. What is the title trying to say? ( Does the title fit in with the poem and is well understood? Or does it seem to be not a part of the poem at all)

5. Is there a theme that is shown significantly within the poem? ( Sometime the theme is easily shown, sometimes it is a little less direct)

6. Are there any words repeated? Why do you think they are being repeated? ( This might help define the speakers feelings or meaning of a certain part of the poem.)

7. Do any of the objects, people, or places seem to have symbolic meaning? ( Not everything is always face value. The true meaning can be found in a symbol hidden in the words.)

8. What is the overall tone of the poem? ( Is this a happy, sad, ect. Poem?)

9. Does any biological information about the author help? ( Sometimes knowing a little about the author can help define that meaning of the poem.)

10. What reactions or feeling of your own does this poem reveal? ( This might have been the goal of the author and ones own feelings can show the meaning of the poem)

Research documentation : What is Poem

From what i have studies , i can describe that a  poem may appear to mean very different things to different readers, and all of these meanings may be different from what the author thought he meant. For instance, the author may have been writing some peculiar personal experience, which he saw quite unrelated to anything outside.

Assignment 1:Poem

for this assignment i have to create a poem with a visual image.
